Decide in days, not months
Speed is not recklessness. Most slow decisions are slow because nobody owns them, not because the information is missing.
Overview
Ask when a decision will be made and you often get a description of a process. Processes do not decide. People do, on a date, with a name against it.
Say who decides, out loud
One name. Consultation is not the same as a vote, and half the delay in most organisations is people waiting politely for someone else to go first.
Set the information you will not wait for
Write down what would change your mind. If the missing data would not change it, you already have enough and you are stalling.
Book the meeting where it happens
Not a meeting about it. The meeting where it is decided, with the four sentences written before anyone sits down.
